Java Developer

Opportunity for a high caliber Java developer to work on exciting green field projects to enjoy the experience of the entire software build and deployment cycle.

The Role
Participate in the design and implementation of multi-media medium to large scale software projects in a leading edge technology company based in Penang. Work to tough but achievable deadlines. Interface with a variety of cross-industry partners to achieve robust and flexible solutions. Provide mentoring to junior resources and internees. Interface with DBA, webmasters and QA team.

Requirements
Proven ability in Java development in both web client and server-side tiers. Experience with any mainstream SQL database (i.e DB2/Oracle/Apache Derby). Understanding of Web architectures and development. Exposure to OO methodology and design patterns. Familiarity with XML and JSP. Candidates with experience of Spring will be valued. Curiousity and industry are held highest by the management team.

Compensation
Package is competitive and includes a six monthly performance rated bonus.

Web Developer

The Role

  • To contribute conceptually to the creative development and technical executions of website from time to time.
  • Writing web pages in a combination of codes such as hypertext mark-up language (HTML), WordPress, JSP, JavaScript, CSS and Flash.
  • Testing the web sites for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions.
  • To define, implement and monitor effective web development across clients’ web sites.
  • To research and analyse prospective clients’ web application development needs.
  • To offer solutions and options for clients’ issues.
  • To provide technical support and advice when required.

Requirements

  • Possess at least a Diploma in IT/ Multimedia or equivalent disciplines from a reputable institution.
  • At least 1 year of working experience in web development.
  • Good in English, both written and spoken.
  • Master in adobe photoshop or macromedia.
  • Knowledge in PHP and mysql.
  • Passionate about the internet development and social media.
  • Fast learner, self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision.

Compensation

Web Designer

The Role

  • To design Web sites and ensure that they are visually effective and easy to access.
  • Liaising closely with the customer or client at the design stage to answer questions such as: why is the site needed, who is the target audience, who are the leading competitors, etc.
  • In charge of the website and development design of the Company.
  • Specifically concentrate in building and creating new design.
  • Manage existing website and any required modifications on website.
  • Familiarity with hypertext mark-up language (HTML), WordPress, JSP, JavaScript, CSS.
  • Experienced in producing Flash animation for web and offline use.
  • Assist the developer in the coming up with the design and program to interlink between systems.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Multimedia or equivalent.
  • At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Experience in Joomla, Adobe, Dreamweaver, HTML, Javascript, PHP and ASP.
  • Candidates should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
